The Young Farmer’s Program at Kelkenberg Farm is for children 5 -10 years of age. The program is offered during the summer and the winter or spring school breaks.
Children who attend the program learn a little about animal agriculture, live the life of a farmer for the day or week, and have some good old farm fun! Daily activities include feeding the animals, riding the ponies, and plenty of critter handling (leading goats, washing pigs, or holding chickens!). We might also catch butterflies, take a hay ride, or play in the hay loft. At the end of the day the children are tired, dirty, and full of good stories!
2010 is our 24th year of the program!
Sorry, No February break session this year.
